Coverall Health-Based Cleaning System^SM, a leading commercial cleaning franchise company, today announced that it has been recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a "Champion" under the agency's Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI). Champion is the highest level of recognition under this initiative.

The SDSI is part of the EPA's Design for the Environment program which works in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders to reduce risk to people and the environment by preventing pollution. The program focuses on industries that combine the potential for chemical risk reduction and improvements in energy efficiency with a strong motivation to make lasting, positive changes.

The SDSI was designed to recognize environmental leaders who voluntarily commit to the use of safer surfactants. Safer surfactants break down quickly to non-polluting compounds. A "Champion" recognition is based on whether the company documents a strategy and demonstrates that it only purchases products containing safer surfactants.
